Susan’s Letter for Corban
I am writing this open letter to the community on behalf of my daughter and her two-year-old
son. My husband and I have done all we know how to do and now have no choice but to ask you, the working people of East Texas,
for help. You see, we have been told point blank that our daughter Jessica will lose her son to his other grandparents regardless
of the evidence, and without competent legal representation. The problem is, the other grandfather is a lawyer while my husband
is just able to walk and drive after a near fatal motorcycle wreck. Now to be fair to the lawyer, his wife, who started the
whole sorry business, fired him from the case when he wanted to drop it and leave will enough alone. He very rightly saw
it was an attack on the child. He even said, “Corban is such a good sweet little boy and I can only attribute that to Jessica
because she raised him.” She had the funds to hire someone else but we have been told that it will take at least ten thousand
dollars to hire a good lawyer. For us it might as well be a million.
Let me give you some background on all of this. I admit that I was not very happy to have my then teenaged daughter
come home and tell me she was expecting a child. The blow was lessened by the fact that the young father stepped forward like
a man and did the right thing. After that we had no reason not to axcept him as part of our family and treat him as such.
We were thrilled by the birth of out grandson, however our joy was soon dampened by the news that his father had cancer. As
this brave young man battled for his life, his mother denied our daughter access to him and told him lies about her treatment
of his son. She tried to make him give her the Supplemental Security income given to them by the government to help support
his family! This woman who claims to love this child has done nothing but take from him. She has even gone so far as to have
the utilities turned off at my daughter’s home. Then there are all the legal fees to deal with while trying to make
it on her own without the help of the father. Now we are afraid that this sweet child might be given to a woman who was often
violent with her own children, according to them. A woman who claims our daughter killed her son when he died of complications
from a bone marrow transplant.
Without your help we will lose Corban to this woman. We already have to hear this precious child scream and cry
for his mother as he is hauled away for court ordered visits. Please help us fight to keep him from being dragged away from
a happy home and family into the lair of a bitter, selfish overbearing woman who seems willing to destroy his whole life.
Don’t let Corban’s cries fall on deaf ears.
If you would like to help, you may make a donation to the Jessica Fountain legal defense fund at, Austin Bank.
If you are a lawyer who truly believes in justice, your help is needed.
Thank-you and God bless.
